We strongly encourage for you to assist your worker to make use of e-remittance service providers during this COVID-19 situation. However, if your worker needs to visit their money transfer service provider at the retail outlet, they are advised to make an e-appointment before their visit. This will ensure that they do not need to be part of long queues and wait for an extended period of time.
The RAS will be providing a web based e-appointment platform for your worker to make an appointment for their visit. How e-remittance works
Remittances can be performed conveniently and safely through several channels such as on the remittance agent’s mobile app or the bank’s ibanking app and website.If your worker is new to e-remittance and online services, you can help him/her navigate the app or website.
Each customer on-boarding and remittance process is different but all will require the sender to provide information including full name and identity number, with documentary proof.
Please however be aware of possible scammers who may call your worker to ask for personal details. To guard against fraud, we do not recommend transactions done through phone texts, calls or emails.
